There are a lot of tedious tasks that we have to do and when you are living on your own, you need to do them all yourself. I'm thinking of things like washing dishes and laundry, filing your taxes etc etc. It is necessary to complete these tasks to simplify your life. There is no need to go through them. Let me clarify that you are in control to decide how much you are enjoying your job. You can consider this an elaboration of the 5 minute rule mentioned in the Stop Setting Traps For Yourself post. There are more ways to CEO your life and make it more efficient there. This is how I will guide you on how to get the most out of the timer app. You can make your life easier by using the app that everyone has on their phone. As you could read in the name, it's the 7 minute timer app. In all honesty, I'm not sure how people can live without it. It honestly makes life so much better, particularly when doing things you dislike doing. It's quite simple, prior to you begin a task, you determine the time you'll need, set the timer and then the race will begin. This race is great because of three factors. Click here: timer.live for more information. Timers: Why are they crucial1. Stop Procrastinating Many tasks that we do not like get put off. You can tell yourself there's a solution to your suffering by attaching the time frame. Your task or part is due to be completed once the time is up. The mental burden of imagining yourself doing it all eternity is gone, making it much easier to get started and complete the task! 2. You are actively training yourself The more times you finish the task in say 10 minutes you will start catching on to how to do it in order to finish within time. You'll likely come up with new ways to complete your job and you'll be able to develop on both methods. One is how to finish the job quickly enough, this doesn't mean careless or inefficient, it simply means highly effective. Also, knowing that you managed to get the tedious work done in the quick blink of an eye will ensure that you don't hate it for a long time. At least that is my experience.
3. The euphoria of beating time There is nothing quite like beating the 2 minute timer and taking some time to thank yourself for getting your things done without having to feel annoyed over it. It's for me like an athlete crossing the finish line with a new record. Yes, I mean that I actively strive to beat the clock. It has to be fun! If you're constantly setting the timer and sabotaging yourself then what's the point? No, no don't do this! Challenge yourself! You'll be motivated to take a second off your next try. You have to do the mundane things. Your life will run smoother and you'll appreciate it in the future. Instead of being negative about yourself, hurrying to finish something or feeling guilty for not taking the time, be mindful of yourself and feel the pleasure of actively improving your life. I am sure you can do it, and I am confident in you. Also let me know the results, tweet, or mail me! You're a rockstar for completing tasks and being kind to yourself so you deserve a medal! It's yours!
